【摘要】:Metamericcolormatchesresultfromtheuseofdifferentcolorants(pigments,dyes,andthelike)inachievingthesamecolormatch.Usually,thepurchaserrequiresthatthecolormatchbenonmetameric;thispracticepermitsthisrequirementtobequicklytestedinbothfieldandlaboratory.Wherenonmetamericmatchesarenotpossibleorpracticable,forcostorotherreasons,somelimitationofmetamerismmayberequired.Theproceduresforestimatingthemagnitudeofmetamerismdescribedinthispracticeprovidemethodsforassessingtheeffectivenessofsuchlimitation.1.1Thispracticedescribesvisualmethodsfordetectingmetamerismandforestimatingthemagnitudeofametamericcolordifference.1.2Thepracticeislimitedtotheconsiderationofilluminantmetamerismandobservermetamerism.Itisnotdesignedtocoverso-calledgeometricmetamerism,inwhichmembersofspecimenpairschangerelativeappearanceastheanglesofilluminationandviewingarechanged,forexample,becausetheyincorporateflakemetalorpearlescentcolorants.1.3Thispracticedoesnotprovideforthecomputationofindicesofmetamerismbaseduponinstrumentalmeasurementofspectralcharacteristics.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
