【摘要】:Thesesheartestsaredesignedtoproducein-planeshearpropertydataformaterialspecifications,researchanddevelopment,anddesign.Factorsthatinfluencetheshearresponseandshouldthereforebereportedinclude:material,methodsofmaterialpreparationandlay-up,specimenstackingsequence,specimenpreparation,specimenconditioning,environmentoftesting,specimenalignmentandgripping,speedoftesting,timeattemperature,voidcontent,andfibervolumereinforcementcontent.Propertiesthatmaybemeasuredbythistestmethodinclude:5.1.1In-planeshearstressversusshearstrainresponse,5.1.2In-planeshearchordmodulusofelasticity,5.1.3Offsetshearstress,and5.1.4Maximumin-planeshearstress.Incasesinwhichthestrainatfailureisgreaterthan5%,theshearstresscorrespondingto5%shearstrainshouldbereported.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthein-planeshearpropertiesofhigh-modulusfiber-reinforcedcompositematerialsbyeitheroftwoprocedures.InProcedureA,laminatesclampedbetweentwopairsofloadingrailsaretested.Whenloadedintensiontherailsintroduceshearforcesinthespecimen.InProcedureB,laminatesclampedonoppositeedgeswithatensileorcompressiveloadappliedtoathirdpairofrailsinthecenteraretested.1.2Applicationofthistestmethodislimitedtocontinuous-fiberordiscontinuous-fiber-reinforcedpolymermatrixcompositesinthefollowingmaterialforms:1.2.1Laminatescomposedonlyofunidirectionalfibrouslaminae,withthefiberdirectionorientedeitherparallelorperpendiculartothefixturerails.1.2.2Laminatescomposedonlyofwovenfabricfilamentarylaminaewiththewarpdirectionorientedeitherparallelorperpendiculartothefixturerails.1.2.3Laminatesofbalancedandsymmetricconstruction,withthe0directionorientedeitherparallelorperpendiculartothefixturerails.1.2.4Short-fiber-reinforcedcompositeswithamajorityofthefibersbeingrandomlydistributed.Note1Additionaltestmethodsfordeterminingin-planeshearpropertiesofpolymermatrixcompositesmaybefoundinTestMethodsD5379/D5379MandD5448/D5448M,andPracticeD3518/D3518M.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetexttheinch-poundsunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.
