【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversproductsmadefromplastics(includingpackagingandcoatings)thataredesignedtobebiodegradableunderthemarineenvironmentalconditionsofaerobicmarinewatersoranaerobicmarinesediments,orboth.(Possibleenvironmentsareshallowanddeepsaltwaterandbrackishwater.)1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtoestablishtherequirementsforlabelingmaterialsandproducts,includingpackaging,as"biodegradableinmarinewatersandsediments."1.3Thepropertiesinthisspecificationarethoserequiredtodetermineifproducts(includingpackaging)willbiodegradesatisfactorily,includingbiodegradingataratecomparabletoknowncompostablematerials.Further,thepropertiesinthespecificationarerequiredtoassurethatthedegradationofthesematerialswillnotdiminishthevalueorutilityofthemarineresourcesandhabitat.1.4Thisspecificationdoesnotdescribecontentsortheirperformancewithregardtobiodegradability.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainstothetestmethodsportionofthisstandard:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatehealthandsafetypracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
